"I'll tell you my impression. We really in this last election, when I say we...the Democrats, I think pushed it as far as we can to the end of the fleet, didn't say it, but we implied it. That if we won the Congressional elections, we could stop the war. Now anybody was a good student of Government would know that wasn't true. But you know, the temptation to want to win back the Congress, we sort of stretched the facts...and people ate it up."

One last thing. We have heard that Bush lied and people died for 5 years now. The Democrats said they would end the war but it has now been admitted that they lied. Is it fair to now claim the Democrats lied and people died?

JESSE JACKSON COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG

If the "relevant" Reverend Jackson had his way, there would exist a world without guns.  But one would have to be a complete fool to think that world could ever exist.  Is Jesse a complete fool?  Well, yes, but here's why.

Renewing a call to ban assault weapons nationwide, the Rev. Jesse Jackson objected Saturday to the Chicago Police Department's plan to arm officers with combat rifles.

"These weapons, they're only used to kill people," Jackson said in an interview with The Associated Press.

Jackson, a longtime advocate for gun control, said giving officers M4 carbines will "intensify violence" and create more tension between citizens and law enforcement officers.

So a well armed police force would "intensify violence"?

It doesn’t take a computer model to estimate that the number of places where one can successfully be a liberal will continue going down as countries grow more and more Islamically oriented.

The United States Senate may vote any day on the stealth imposition of what could amount to an $845 BILLION United Nations style global tax on American citizens?

It's called the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), and it is being sponsored by none other than Senator Barack Obama.

According to some conservative sources, this disastrous legislation could eventually force U.S. taxpayers to fork over as much as 0.7 percent of the nation's Gross Domestic Product -- or $845,000,000,000.00 -- on welfare to third-world countries.

Here's what Phyllis Schlafly, conservative activist and founder of Eagle Forum, recently wrote:

"Obama's costly, dangerous and altogether bad bill (S. 2433), which could come up in the Senate any day, is called the Global Poverty Act. It would commit U.S. taxpayers to spend 0.7 percent of our Gross Domestic Product on foreign handouts..." [Emphasis Mine]

Time is of the essence because Senator Joe Biden, the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee just issued a report on the Global Poverty Act and it was placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar on Thursday the 24th.

I can understand most of the reasons some are upset, regardless, I stand by my words.

What I am finding very interesting is the fact that many think that in order to be racist, and to carry out racist actions, one must be in the majority and therefore in power.  In essence saying, that if you are a minority, you have free reign to say and do anything you please against another race, because...it's not racist?

It reminds me of the "diversity' indoctrination going in our our Universities and lower level public schools.

Does anyone else have a problem with this?

GOVERNMENT GROWS - PRIVATE SECTOR SHRINKS

The title of the article at John Birch Society alone made me queasy when I saw it, and now that I've read it, I'm still queasy.

Over the past six years, federal, state and local governments have hired at a near record pace while huge losses in the private sector are being recorded. The nation is speeding toward total government and our leaders seem to ignore this frightening reality.

Thanks Obama, for drawing the needed attention to traitorous dogs like Jeremiah Wright.

Obama suggested on FOX News Sunday that many politicians promoted the partial birth abortion ban "so that they could try to bring an end to abortions overall."

In his July 2007 address to Planned Parenthood, Obama protested the federal partial birth abortion ban as "part of a concerted effort to roll back the hard-won rights of American women."

Read this article from AHN detailing Canada's new Carbon Tax Act 2008.  The bold emphasis is mine:

British Columbia, Canada (AHN) - British Columbia Finance Minister Carole Taylor filed with the provincial parliament Monday the Carbon Tax Act 2008. The measure seeks to cut the province's greenhouse gases by 33 percent by 2020.

At the same time it seeks to raise funds for British Columbia through the collection of a carbon tax of 2.5 cents per liter for gasoline and 2.75 cents per liter for diesel starting July 1. By 2012 the carbon tax is scheduled to rise to about 7.25 cents per liter.
